Lets Talk Crohns!

GREETINGS FROM CONFEDERATE POINT: Hey everyone. My sabbatical has been going great, despite rumors to the contrary. My health has improved significantly, and my outlook is positive. To my fellow Crohns disease sufferers, I give a special hello, may you find peace, and power despite the ongoing struggle. I know how you feel. Be blessed in your endeavors.

While I am on the subject of Crohns disease I have some technical stuff about the problem I want to share, and hopefully help someone who is struggling.

First off to my friends in the medical community I need to take you to the wood shed. You have utterly failed your patients if you regularly prescribe habit forming, and mind altering drugs without first exhausting every resource at your disposal. We want good outcomes; do we not? While there are cases where there is no choice but to prescribe such substances, it should always be the very last resource. Some of these medications are very dangerous, and seem to have a way of messing peoples lives up. Always remember to treat the underlying problem, if you can. If it is beyond your expertise REFER the patient. Unless the patient has proven to you extensively he/she can maintain a grasp of the technical details regarding his/her disease/injury/sickness be suspicious, and remember to always be positive with your patients. The power of nature, and the mind to balance the body can be quite impressive, and when you see good outcomes, it will help balance out the terrible things you see on a daily basis. I respect you for standing in the trenches, and trying to make a difference. Perhaps one day I will be able to join you again in the trenches.

To those who are suffering with Crohns and have had terrible/extensive problems with treatments, as well as poor outcomes I know what you are going through, and it sucks. I have found it is better for me if I can maintain as much of a mental hold over my illness, and surroundings as possible; however that is not always possible. I have found that getting with the right doctors, or in those cases where NEW doctors have been suddenly thrust upon me, a good rap session even a couple of hours with the physician opens the door for potentially better treatment . I have found educating the physician, if I can, is helpful. Sometimes though it is difficult to educate the atypical physician, and you must deal with it. This is where keeping as strong of a psychic hold over my illness helps a great deal. I have found coping skills have much to do with our outcomes, and ANYTHING that could potentially undermine said skills should be treated like the enemy they are. I have found it is hard and almost impossible, in the real world to succeed with a disability such as Crohns disease. Kudos to those of us who are working fulltime jobs and dealing with the BS from the Crohns disease.

Thanks for stopping by. This is my offering to you for the day, a blessing, as the dew in meadow let your problems be.

Was 9-11-01 A Conspiracy? – Questions Needing Answers

Hey everyone. Recently, I have had a lot of  extra time on my hands. Time I have obviously needed, and thus far used to rest/re-charge, and study via video medium, and my favorite medium of all, books.

After the incidents of September 11, 2001, I have heard many conspiracy theories, and being a good soldier, could not see how my government, which I swore a life long oath to could be involved in such a thing; however, I left myself open to the possibility of rogue elements enacting such a plan for various reasons, including at the behest of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC). The MIC wields tremendous amounts of power, in our government, and no party is immune.

Tonight’s topic of study was the events of 9-11-01. I decided to listen to the other side, the side many, including me, have labeled the conspiracy side. The totality of the information presented me, has got the old wheels in my head turning.

Here are several items that piqued my interest:

1: The discovery of nano thermite, by an independent lab, from samples taken by a concerned citizen. For those who do not know what this substance is, it is a very powerful, and very hot form of thermite. The samples tested (already been through the explosion, fire, and collapse) were off the charts for their heat producing capability.

2) I have heard structural engineers say the building fell in on itself due to the way it was designed. After looking at many slow motion videos, I can clearly see what looks like smaller explosions shooting out the lower portions, of both towers; furthermore, the buildings imploded the way buildings do when a demolition team takes down a building. It is on record, the center steel structure of the building underwent renovations, to strengthen it. This could have very well been a cover to place nano thermite based charges. I do not know, but someone does, and they will speak out one day, if this indeed was plotted within our own government.

3) The steel from the towers, most of it was sent over seas and sold at bargain prices. Someone may not have wanted this stuff to be looked at closer. I thought it was used domestically to build war ships, and make memorials. I learned very little it was used in such endeavours. Some was, but not much.

4) World Trade Center 7, which was a disaster recovery, and command center used by the city, state, and federal government imploded as if a demolition team had wired the building.  This building also housed the inspection, and work reports, on the work done to the trade centers, as well as being the home to one of the investigating agencies the government hired to explain away  why the towers imploded, as if it were a planned demolition. One of the survivors, of this building has gone on record saying there were explosions popping off in the building. He was rescued. After he gave his second statement about the explosions, on television, he has disapeared, no where to be found, no trace. This is all very queer, in my opinion.

5) The very same day these events took place our military, including NORAD were participating in exercises on what to do if a plane hit a sky scraper, and if the Pentagon were attacked; furthermore, the person who flew the plane into the Pentagon hit it exactly at an area that had been recently reinforced to withstand a hit by an airplane, and this was the ONLY area that had been renovated in such a way.

6) All of the local responders, to the crash of the last airplane, in Pennsylvania, noted how their was hardly any wreckage, for such a large plane, and the crater just did not seem the right size. Looking through other plane crashes, some of which were blown up in the air, the debris fields for those planes were much larger than this one. This is inexplicable.

I am not saying definitively this was an internal conspiracy, but I do believe the American people need to bring up these, and all the other pieces of the puzzle that do not fit, and demand answers. If we have had a coup, this would be tragic. Look at the Patriot Act which has led to us surrendering much of our rights to privacy, and consider the recent passage, and enactment of a law allowing the United States Military to arrest American citizens, here in the states, and hold them with no access to the courts. Taking all of this into account, if it is true 9-11-01 was perpetrated from the inside, of our government, for whatever reason (I suspect weapons, and power, if it be true), we are in a bad way. I pray it be to the contrary, but until I can satisfy my mind on the points I have brought up, along with some other valid points, I will be worried for our rights as American citizens, and the use of our military, in far-flung places.

My heart, and prayers are always for those who lost loved ones on that dreadful day, and for those who have lost loved ones, or had loved ones injured in the subsequent wars. I am in no way trying to diminish their sacrifices.

Product Review – CLEAR Stick Atlas – Is This Low Cost 4G For Real?

I do not write many endorsements, but when I do, one can rest assured I am not writing about a product, to take up blogging space.

When I moved into my new apartment, I must say everyone was very kind to me. They gave me a very nice practically new couch,  a microwave, a microwave table, a very nice table to put my television on, and they even gave me access to the nearest neighbor’s wireless internet connection. I am as happy as I can be, all things considered.

I was impressed with the neighbor allowing me internet access, but knew when things got better for me financially, right now that is projected to be the year 2238, nonetheless, I knew the first order of business was my own internet access.

For a couple of years now I have received snail mail, and flyers from CLEAR. Some of them caught my attention, like the free Android phones, but at that time, it was not doable. Last Thursday, I checked my snail mail, and I had a small flyer, from CLEAR, advertising unlimited 4G internet access, for $34.95 per month. Not having the best of vision, I could not make out the small print, so I called them.

WOW!! What a wonderful surprise was waiting for me, and as I spoke to a very nice representative, I became fully informed of how great this offer truly was, and now is.

They had several options available, but I went with the one best suited for me. It’s a device that plugs into the USB, on my laptop, and delivers unlimited 4G internet. My upfront costs, for shipping, AND the total cost for the CLEAR Stick Atlas was less than $65.00. They even gave me the first month’s service free! Better yet, NO CONTRACTS! As long as I make my monthly payment, I will continue to enjoy this wonderful service. I had it via Fed Ex on Saturday!

The installation was so easy a monkey could hook it up, and the service, as I already noted, is great. I stream movies from Netflix, send SMS messages, blog, surf the net (I do loads of reading/research), work on my photography, literally everything else I was doing before, at home, with AT&T, but for a fraction of the price. The speed, and reliability is also as good as the free Comcast internet my neighbor was letting me use. I am as happy as a lark!

I also like the fact I can take it on the road with me, and will be able to use it so long as CLEAR has a signal whereever I am at. With me being a city person (I love it), this is all I need. From what I understand, and have read, CLEAR has a large network, and it is expanding.

Many of you do not know this, but I worked on the internet when the Pentagon started letting certain elements of the army use it. Thirty years ago I had a laptop, with wireless remote access. This technology I am now using is the same. The only difference is this has all been miniaturized. I learned a hell of a lot about computers back in the US Army, and before I became too ill to work, I worked in a couple of civilian computer rooms, and installed Ramada Inn‘s, and Choice Hotel’s room reservation/inventory system, at the property level. I did so well at it, I was given several referrals, and made a nice chunk of change. It would not take much for me to learn all of the new hardware, and even learn to be a programmer, but my health will just not allow it. My hemotology doctor told me there is no reason I will not live a normal life-span, but I may as well face it, I will not be going back to work unless Iinvent something, or can find someone to let me work from home. Perhaps my writing will get better, and I may get paid to write some day. HAH!!

Here is the bottom line:

Product – CLEAR Stick Vista

Satisfaction – VERY satisfied! Works GREAT! Great price too!  I must note here had CLEAR’s representative not worked with me, I would not have been able to get anything. He bent over backwards, and reduced the up front price, to an amount I could afford. I know it cut into his comission, but that man was not letting me off the phone without my own internet access. I am very grateful. Good customer service is ever more difficult to come by these days. CLEAR got it right.

Would I recommend this product? – Definitely!

Cheers,

mark
