Harold Camping – End Time – Judgement Day – Predictions: Another Rebutal

With the doomsday predictions of  Harold Camping, people are starting to converse about the promised return of Jesus, what the Bible says about it, and some are wondering, if it will ever happen.  It has been a very long time, according to the Bible, since Jesus ascended to Heaven.

From what I can gather, from my reading, of the New Testament, regarding the return of The Lord, the people living in those times expected Christ’s return to be imminent. For my cousin Bubba Joe, that means they expected His return very soon, in their lifetime. Why did they think this way? Because Jesus told them to be watchful.

In Matthew 24: 42 Jesus says, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” He goes on to say in verse 44: “the Son of Man, will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.”. Christ then goes on to explain the reward, for the watchful, and the punishment for those who are not watchful, taking advantage of The Master’s absence, in verses 45-51, of Matthew chapter 24.

Chapter 24 of Matthew is devoted to “The Signs of The End of The Age”. The disciples of Christ ask Him what the signs of His coming, and the end of the age will be? I highly recommend a thorough reading of this chapter.

Jesus warns us (vs4) “Watch out that no one deceives you”, and explains the beginning of the “birth pains”, of the times in question. In vs10 we are told “many will turn away from the faith”, vs11 “many false prophets will appear and deceive many people”, and He goes on to say, in the following verses, 12-13 that the love of many will grow cold because of the increase of wickedness, but that whoever stands firm, to the end ,will be saved.

The clearest reproof of Harold Camping’s prophecy, prophecies, etc, are the words of Christ in Matthew 24:36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”.

I just wanted to share some more with you all, re: Camping, and the words of Jesus, in Matthew 24. I do not understand how Mr. Camping can claim to have studied, and studied the Bible, then use numerology, of all things, to prophesy when the 2nd coming of Christ will be.

There is a whole lot more about the end times, and false prophets written in the Bible. I urge you to read up on it. There is nothing like the truth, to hush the  mouths, of heretics.

Thanks For Stopping By!
